Battle Robot Sponsors

Most aspiring robot-builders are looking for the exact same thing; Battle Robot sponsors. The biggest piece of the puzzle is to find the puzzle to begin with. Without funding and sponsorship your idea of the best battle robot might just stay that; an idea. So how do you go about finding a sponsor to fund the robot of your wildest dreams and take part in all the fun along the way?

All of the most successful battle robot builders of all time seem to share the same advice. Their advice involves perseverance and patience. These sponsors will generally not ever come looking for you, you need to be proactive and search for companies that might be willing to sponsor such a bold and daring adventure. You will need to SELL your idea to the sponsor in most cases, do not expect to just walk in and they will hand you cash to build a big robot. Most sponsors will actually want to help build or design the robot, or at the very least be a part of your robot in some way. The trick is to involve them! Involve your sponsors at every level they feel comfortable with, if they just want to hand you money and not ask questions; dont question that either. But if you live in the real world with real people as sponsors, your best selling technique will be to involve them in the idea and creation, draw ideas from this sponsor, let them feel that you are truly interested in building and succeeding with this Battle Robot. Think about this venture from their shoes; if someone came up to and flat out asked for money to build a robot and fight with it. Chances are you will get laughed at or escorted off the property. The success is proven; your best option is to pretend you are your sponsor.

What would it take for someone to convince you to shell out money on a battle robot? Perhaps your sponsors name on the side of the robot? Or maybe even naming the robot after the sponsor could never go wrong with that. So what else is running through the mind of your sponsor if you were to approach him or her? How credible are you portraying yourself? The slightest sense of hesitancy will send your sponsor running the other way; you need to be honest, straight forward and most of all persuasive. The larger the business the more likely they'll be interested in national TV coverage and the more money they'll likely have to spend on it. Use your resources such as the internet to track down and learn about potential sponsors and what their products are. You should be familiar with the specific company and treat them as if they are the only sponsor you're interested in because of what they do. It's much more compelling to suggest using their product in the battle robot, gives the company a great chance to display the durability or quality of their products. Do not ever forget the most important factor in your search for a battle robot sponsor; honesty, persuasiveness and your ability to offer this sponsor someone nobody else can.
